IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback

At The Whitson Group, we are dedicated to providing cutting-edge, evidence-based approaches to mental health. One of our innovative offerings is IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback—a transformative tool designed to support optimal brain function and overall mental health.

What is IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback?

IASIS Microcurrent Neurofeedback is a sophisticated, non-invasive technology that helps regulate brain function through gentle, microcurrent electrical stimulation. This therapy works by applying low-level electrical impulses to the scalp, which interact with your brain’s electrical activity. The goal is to balance and optimize brain function, helping you achieve a more stable and balanced mental state.

How Does It Work?

Assessment

During your initial session, we conduct a thorough assessment to understand your unique needs and goals. This helps tailor the neurofeedback experience to your specific requirements.

Treatment

Electrodes are placed on the scalp, delivering microcurrent impulses which are so subtle you will not feel them. These impulses help re-train the brain’s electrical activity patterns, promoting improved cognitive and emotional functioning. The treatment allows the brain to calm down from the sympathetic nervous system (fight/flight/freeze) survival response to the parasympathetic nervous system (rest/digest). Appointments will typically last 20-30 minutes, after the initial 45-minute intake.

Feedback and Adjustment

We continuously monitor your brain’s responses and adjust the treatment as needed to ensure optimal outcomes.

— Common Questions —

How Quickly Will I Notice Results?
At least 85% of clients notice positive results in 1 to 3 sessions. The number of treatments needed varies per individual, but the average is 12-20 sessions over the course of weeks or months. A sample schedule might look something like this: twice a week for 3 weeks, weekly for 3 weeks, then every other week for 3 weeks.
Will My Insurance Cover Treatments?
Not all plans cover neurofeedback at this time. Treatments will be self-pay only, but we are happy to provide you with an invoice called a superbill, which you can submit to your insurance. Some clients are able to get reimbursed. Sessions are $125, or you can purchase a 12-session package for $1200.
